I am applying for the Fall 2015 smester in the Second Degree sequence and I wanted to see who is out there that can give me some advice or commiserate!
I am so nervous about my essay... Their instructions are slightly vague and I am unsure of how to capture their attention and convey my passion for nursing.
Do you think I will get in with 2 years CNA experience as a school "nurse" and a 3.6 pre-req GPA?
I hope so. I need to stop checking SOAR every hour.
Right? I am losing my mind. How I will make it to June 22nd, I've no idea. I feel so behind in life, if I don't get in I will be very distraught.

I am a "health assistant" at a charter school. I basically do what a school nurse can do legally within the county's regulations for schools. I function under the supervision of an RN supervisor that visits every month or so and is on call for any immediate needs. I have learned so much discipline and patience from this position. I love it but I can't keep it if I get into the program, so I am looking into a summer PCT position.
I currently work as an Orthopedic Technician in the outpatient clinic at a hospital. been here for 3years. I enjoy what i do, but there's is no room for growth so i need to move on to something better.

That's really good experience. I bet you'll get in! I feel the same way in my current job, too. This charter school cannot afford to pay good money since their funding is not backed by the county like public schools. Not their fault, but I need to move up.

I work as a surgical tech for cardio vacscular. So I basically scrub in heart surgery. It's dead end as well. I've been doing it for 19 years and I am ready to move forward. I love what I do but i want more. I am really hoping I get into the program. This is the only school I've applied to. I will be so disappointed if I don't get in.
