USD's MEPN program for Fall 2008

Published

I'm applying to USD (University of San Diego) for Fall 2008. Anyone else? They have a great, but crazy competitive, MEPN program.

Congrats, everyone! I guess I didn't get an interview since I haven't heard anything. Were you guys notified via email or postal mail?

Hey Kens!

I was notified by e-mail. I would e-mail or call them just to make sure, because you never know! Maybe they aren't finished with their invites yet?

Good luck everyone!!

Yes, hopefully, because then we can comment by threads about what stethoscope, shoes, and palms etc. we should get!

anyone else hear anything yet?

anyone else hear anything yet?

Nah I don't think so - the two girls I met at interviews who seem like great candidates haven't heard yet, so I'm pretty sure they're doing the massive notification on March 1st like they said.

i got in last week too! i'm planning on going to usd. anyone worried about the CNL degree? i was originally planning on getting my NP.

yeah I was thinking about the CNL degree with skepticism b/c some moderators/staff and some experienced nurses were dogging on the degree saying it was just about the nursing profession throwing out unnecessary degrees to make ppl spend more money but we're just a glorified bedside nurse that's not any more special/unique than a BSN/ADN. I say, hey this is what we really want to do obviously b/c we're going back to school - they need to be more sensitive about that because we want to be there to help people in the field - not to try to put the other nurses out of jobs.

Anyway congrats!! I'll have to figure out where I'm going within the next week or so.

yeah i am trying to decide between yale, columbia and usd, so three-year np programs vs. the two year CNL. where are you deciding between?
