hey pretzelpug, i'm not looking for a roommate but am thinking of living in mission valley too! it seems like a good area and is super close to usd :). anyone know when we will hear more from usd? about classes, financial aid, start date/calendar, etc.? i wonder how often our health assessment class will meet in august?

Thanks for the info! I can't believe I didn't get that letter...it's kind of scary that I could have lost my spot in the class. I spoke with someone at Graduate Admissions and sent out a check yesterday to be safe. Thanks again!

i emailed dr. hunter to accept the offer but never got any information about sending in a deposit...now i'm nervous! RNin2010, did you get information about the deposit in the mail or by email?

Hi all, Does anyone know when we might be hearing more from USD? About financial aid, next year's schedule, etc.?

So I'm officially going to USD! I just emailed Dr. Hunter. I can't wait to start...although I'm a little nervous about my cross-country trip (I currently live in Boston). Anyone else out there moving from far away to go to USD?

Hey Jackie, How did your cost-benefit analysis turn out? Both schools are ridiculous in terms of the amount of loans. I am also taking into account the fact that I will be able to work at USD and make some money while I am there. And then I am hoping that maybe after working as a RN I will be able to get my job to pay for my NP certificate...but this is all speculation. It is a pain that it will take so much longer at USD. Let me know what you're thinking!

I'm thinking about living in the Mission Valley area which is pretty close to USD (like 5 miles away). The grad school housing looked expensive to me too! Are you guys concerned at all about not hearing about financial aid till after accepting? Also, do we have to send in a deposit with our acceptance? They didn't send us very much information in that letter.

Yeah that makes sense but my boyfriend will be in SD next year which makes the decision more difficult...do you eventually want to go the NP route or would you like to be a CNL?

I got into both the Yale GEPN and USD MEPN programs and am trying to decide where to go next year. I am still waiting on financial aid which could be a big factor but am also trying to figure out which has a better route to the NP? (USD makes you take a year off in the middle before going back for your NP certificate) Anyone else in the same boat?

megonia, i noticed that you got into yale. did you get into usd as well? i am trying to decide between those two schools...do you have a top choice?

yeah i am trying to decide between yale, columbia and usd, so three-year np programs vs. the two year CNL. where are you deciding between?
