Does anybody have any experience with working at USC KECK in the OR and what it’s like? Recently interviewed for their new OR new grad RN program and curious about what it’s like working in their OR as far as scheduling, atmosphere, overall experience. Thanks in advance!

hi! I don't work in their OR but I interviewed for their OR nurse training program also and was wondering if you know when they'll be getting back to us

The recruiter told me before I left that he’d call Monday but he never did so I’m guessing they’re doing more interviews. He said if they don’t get the 7 new hires on our interview day then they’re interviewing again this Friday..

Hello there, I applied to the Keck USC new grad program for ICU, but just wanted to know how the OR interview went. Do they do behavioral questions or clinical? Did you guys have a group interview or individual interview?

I had no idea they had an OR training program, but I hope all goes well for you guys! I did my preceptorship at Keck, so hoping to hear back for the ICU positions!

Hey! I applied to ICU positions as well but only heard back from the OR training program. This was emailed to me by the recruiter when I asked about new grad applications.

It was individual interviews that happened consecutively with other candidates. We were all scheduled at the same time in two different group times. We interviewed with some of the OR leads almost like a mini panel interview and then we met with the OR executive manager I believe was her title and that was it. It was pretty typical questions, asked about stressful situations we’ve handled and what we can bring to USC KECK if we get hired. They didn't seem to expect much they verbalized that we were new grads so they understood we didn’t have much experience besides clinicals.

Hi there! Yes I did today! Unfortunately for me I will be unable to take the job because I take my boards the same day the class is starting.
