USAGPAN 2018

I noticed someone had started a thread to rally up nurses applying to the USAGPAN class starting this year so I thought I'd do the same for next year's class! I'll be speaking with a recruiter soon, but I hope to begin the application process very soon! I have about 2 years of critical care experience, just took my GRE and I'm scheduled to take my CCRN next month. I'll be doing that biochem class sometimes before June as well. Anyone else out there applying for next year's Army Nurse Anesthesia Program?

Hi everyone! I just found out yesterday that I was accepted as one of the VA civilian applicants for the 2018 class. I am hoping to connect with another VA student to have someone to communicate with through the EISP process (I have a feeling it may be a painful process). I am extremely excited and humbled! I know this was a very competitive year and I am sorry to those who didn't make it.

Congrats!!! I also found out yesterday that I've been accepted by the VA!!! I've been through EISP before and it can be a long process but it all works out :). Feel free to look me up via VA email. They asked for another document signed by my current commander re-stating what is on my conditional release, and more skills check off lists from my supervisors at my current job. Things of that sort.

Hi guys!! Came across this thread and would like to introduce myself to my future classmates. I am one of the active duty nurses selected for the program and currently stationed at BAMC Fort Sam Houston. Looking forward to meeting all of you. Everyone will have a sponsor assigned (usually the ones currently in phase I), but if you have any questions... I am more than willing to help. :)

Hi! I am considering applying next year. However, I am a civilian looking to apply. How many seats are available? This sounds like a pretty competitive program. Does the preference in applicants accepted lean toward those already enlisted?

Hey there, all. It's been awhile. However, I am excited to share that I received my acceptance into the USAGPAN class of 2018! It's been a week or so since I found out, but I wanted to let it sink in. Now I must wait for the board... I better start working on my pushups, people. haha

FY2017 had 43, with 4 of those being VA students. 4 is the max for VA students. This year's class is the largest is some time, and it's almost twice the size of the last few classes. The program says they can take more than that, but they haven't. Current Enlisted do not have priority.

I have my phase two scheduled for next week and I was just wondering if you knew how many applicants there were last year in your pool?

No one was told a definite number, but they were told there were over 150 applicants for FY2017
