USA Fall 2015

Has anyone applied to South Alabama's Fall 2015 program? I applied to the FNP program. I see from other threads that Nursing CAS recalculates your GPA (usually lower than expected). I can't figure out how to see their GPA calculation. Is anyone else able to see this?

I used the email that was on the msn page that was for all the college of nursing graduate programs, wasn't a particular person. The emails I got back were via that same email address.

I talked to someone in the nursing office today. Said that they should hopefully be out next week. Ugh. I just want to know yesterday!!!

I heard similar "hopefully in the next 3 weeks." Anxiously waiting! Good luck to everyone. I have seen a couple threads that mention being able to get a gist of whether or not you have been accepted by checking your status online? Does anyone know anything about this? I don't see anywhere on NursingCAS where I can find this information.

Hello everyone!

I applied for the post BSN WHNP program for the fall. I have a 3.90 GPA but will only have 2 years experience in L&D in August. I have a pretty impressive resume for a newer RN but I'm so nervous that not having 3+ years of RN experience will hurt me. Ahhhhh!

On May 28th I emailed the congrad email asking if decision letters have been sent out. This is the response that I received:

They have not. They are expected to mail out within 2-3 weeks.

Lol, I just called asked when the acceptance letters were being sent out and was told "they're running behind" and that it would be "within the next couple of weeks".

I wouldn't dare email them. I've been accepted into the DNP program and they just sent out an email telling us not to ask them anymore when we will get our official final acceptance ... It's going to be the end of July until they process all the medical stuff and our backgrounds etc. they accepted 370 of us. I'm gonna let them take all the time in the world lol.

This is getting ridiculous. We were, at the latest, suppose to find out if we got in by the week of May 27. I am going to start lookig at other programs.

Okay that's absolutely ridiculous because we've already waited 10 weeks opposed to the "6-8 weeks" and now we have to wait even longer? I'm really mad now

I can only imagine how many applications they must get. I wonder what the hold up is? Ate they having a hard time making decisions? Is something else happening that they've had to put making decisions or mailing letters on the back burner. For NC applicants, I know I've heard they find out if they are fully approved to take NC applicants in June, so they could be stalling for notification of approval from NC and other states, just to be safe. Idk! But I hope we find out soon. Lol!
