US Nurse in Europe?

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm a second semester nursing student with a year until I graduate. I'm planning for the future and figure I would get on here and ask some questions. I've tried to do some research, but it would be great to hear from anyone with any experience related to practicing nursing in Europe.

I'm really interested in living in Europe and had two questions:

1. Are there opportunities for US trained nurses in Europe?

2. Are there work from home jobs available to nurses in Europe? (Or remote work for employer in US that would allow work from anywhere)

I love to travel so the second option is really important. The ability to work remotely as a nurse would be a huge advantage. I know the US has opportunities in case management that allow you to work from.

Does anyone have experience in either area in Europe? One or both?

Thanks! :)

EU citizens have priority for jobs.

Which languages are you fluent in?

BScN?

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

Coming from a non EU country will make it very difficult

Specializes in ER.

Where in Europe?

EU citizens have priority, and if you only speak English you will be at a disadvantage, and pretty much unemployable.

Im on the other side...I'm trying to leave Europe and go to EUA. :roflmao:

The best place for you would be UK. If u know another language it could be an advantage.
