Urgent Care Interview

Hey guys!

I'm so excited! I finally have an interview at an urgent care facility.

I am looking for info on what to expect during the interview process.

Thanks!

Congrats on the interview! I'm an LPN, and worked in an urgent care for a short time a few years ago. My interview at that urgent care was conducted by an LPN nurse supervisor, & an office manager. The interview was pleasant. They both just asked me questions about why I wanted to work there, why I liked nursing, could I be a team player, etc. I'm sure every interview varies from place to place though. I had to take a urine drug test that day as well after they hired me. I think they ran a background check on me too. Which I passed both of course! I was so excited about the job, but quit after 2 weeks. The job was an hour and a half drive away. We seen over 100 pts. a night to 3 nurses!!! It was like a little mini ER. It was exhausting, sighs... It wasn't for me!! Plus there was this one bully nurse there that kept giving me a hard time over nothing, making my job difficult. lol Not trying to scare you... Urgent care can be a great place to work. This place just had poor management. Good luck! Let us know how it goes... :)

^Great stuff to read. Also, tons and tons and tons of stuff on the net, about nursing interviews to look over, too. GOOD LUCK!!!

Good luck on your interview!

Be prepared for a test over common procedures/ diagnoses/ lab values/ medications you might expect to see routinely in the urgent care!

Great resources! Thank you for posting these =)
