UPMC Shadyside 2010 hopefuls

I'm hoping to get into Shadyside in either sprig 2010 or the fall. Anyone else out there already accepted or trying as well?

I guess that's good news...that's about all I got out them when I talked to them today. I think they are doing that in case people decide not to attend.

I think it's really hard to confirm anything at this point regarding spaces, because there are people that still are waiting for their PSB results (like me) and have not sent out their application...that being said, there were about 50 people taking the exam in the room I was in on the 21st, so there most certainly isn't enough room for all of us! I'm sure not EVERYONE passed, but still, it might come down to whomever sends out the application first once we do get the scores, and who's application is complete and meeting all of the requirements.

I went into the school today and Natalie was working on test results for those that tested with me on November 13. I got my letter on the spot and I passed now it's time to do everything else...HOWEVER they are going into the mail today she said. I hope this helps you out!

You mean the letters for people that tested on the 13th or the 21st? Thanks again for the input!

I'm not clear whether she meant the 21st as well as the 13th...however, when she went through her spiel with us on my test day (Nov 13) she told us that she would release the scores to us over the phone if there was a time crunch. She also said it would take 10-15 business days from test day to get the results. To sum up: I know that Nov 13 results are going out...I'm not sure as to the 21st. Try to ring her and see if they're done. I hope this helps ya out...and you're welcome for the input!

Yea I agree def try to give her a call. She released my results over the phone, even though I took mine last month, I never received my results so she just gave them to me. So it can't hurt to try.

But I'm going up there today so I may be able to figure out some of the questions we all have. Crossing my fingers it all goes well today, I'm really nervous about it.

Good luck, and don't be nervous! It's their job to accommodate us within reason, and to answer all of our questions. Let us know if the results are in! I hope you get all of your questions answered.

I just called Natalie and she gave me the results over the phone. I was so close on the science missed it by a few points. I guess that I'll try again for the fall.

I'm sorry to hear that. When did you take your exam? Are the Nov. 21st results in? I would like to get my scores ASAP.

I took my test Nov 13. I'm not sure but as soon as I called to see if the results had been mailed she asked me to stay on the phone so she could give me the results. I'm sure if you call and ask she will help you out as much as she can.

I agree with narnnehc def. give her a call the deadline is coming up soon! And I couldn't really find out anything about the results since I already have mine but they said they are still going through applications and they do still have spots open!

I had my meeting with them today and was very nervous. They pretty much just wanted to figure out why I had taken a nursing class at another school and why I wanted to go to Shadyside. But I got accepted so I'm happy about that now I just have to figure out what I need to do before the informational meeting.
