Hi AllNurses community! I have been searching for a thread for the UPMC Mercy Hospital Class of 2015, but alas; no such luck. Therefore, I created one!
I was accepted to start in August 2013 and was looking for others who were, or are looking to be accepted. I know it's early still, but I am ready to start school and secure a study group.
Now to my question: I know Mercy has a tuition contract. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it a good deal? I know they are sending information about it, but I am interested in hearing opinions.
Thanks!
Shadysides school is affiliated with presby and shadyside. If I go to mercy, will I most likely be confined to mercy hospital in terms of likeliness of employment or is that on me to network through the system? This is a question for those who have gone through the program and were hired. Opinions welcome

So I have a question... I just finished all my criminal clearances and mailed them back to mercy and I was wondering about the physical you have to get..will they send more information about that or are we supposed to just call and make an appointment because I haven't heard anything about that yet?
Hi guys,
I'm totally new here, and I was hoping for a little bit of advice regarding this process at Mercy. I originally planned to apply to Mercy for Fall '13, but now I'm considering postponing my application to Fall '14 due to some unexpected life circumstances. I could technically still register for the PSB in early May and apply immediately thereafter, but I'm really pushing the deadline and reading about everything you guys have been working on for months is making me REALLY uneasy about doing that.
I was thinking that in the meantime (hopefully to put myself a little ahead of the game) I may take some pre-requisites at CCAC to free up my schedule for next year. For those of you in a similar position, did your credits transfer? What specific courses should I take, besides A&P?
Thanks for any advice in advance, and good luck to everyone starting in the fall! So exciting. :)

I sent in my money to reserve my spot at Mercy but I have just accepted a job at UPMC Presby and would like to transfer to shady side.
Does anyone know if this would be possible?
