Hi AllNurses community! I have been searching for a thread for the UPMC Mercy Hospital Class of 2015, but alas; no such luck. Therefore, I created one!
I was accepted to start in August 2013 and was looking for others who were, or are looking to be accepted. I know it's early still, but I am ready to start school and secure a study group.
Now to my question: I know Mercy has a tuition contract. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it a good deal? I know they are sending information about it, but I am interested in hearing opinions.
Thanks!
I have a question....if anyone knows the answer to it.lol I went to PTI for medical assisting for probably 7 months and didn't finish the program. since I withdrew halfway through one of the quarters...I guess some financial aid was sent back and it left me with a balance. For me to be able to get my transcripts from them I must pay the balance of 1500 dollars. Not one of my classes from PTI will transfer over to mercy. I called --------------- and she hasn't gotten back to me. Does anyone know if it is absolutely necessary for me to send the PTI transcript in with the rest of my application.... or can I leave it out b/c nothing will transfer and also not get into any trouble for not including it???? I need help please!!
@lvalenti...they say they MUST have your transcripts. They run a financial aid report, so if you got fin.aid from PTI, they'll know you attended and will hold your application until they receive it. You can let ------- (them) know your situation to see if there is a special consideration that they can provide since you are aware the courses won't transfer? Good luck!
@peden...I'm not sure how many people are accepted into each program. If you call the school though, they can tell you. Also, the science on the PSB is EVERYWHERE!! I'm talking nutrition, A&P, physics, chemistry, biology, some electrical questions...everywhere! Best I can tell you is to answer as many questions as you can and pray you have enough right to pass! Lol...good luck!

Lindsey, good for you! I barely got any right, so I'll be studying! Just as soon as this semester is over! Lol. Hopefully if I get a good 2 weeks of studying in, I'll be ok.
