Hi AllNurses community! I have been searching for a thread for the UPMC Mercy Hospital Class of 2015, but alas; no such luck. Therefore, I created one!
I was accepted to start in August 2013 and was looking for others who were, or are looking to be accepted. I know it's early still, but I am ready to start school and secure a study group.
Now to my question: I know Mercy has a tuition contract. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it a good deal? I know they are sending information about it, but I am interested in hearing opinions.
Did anyone who took the test study from the Barron book or mometrix? If so which one did you find more helpful with the test? I bought them both but the mometrix is way easier than the Barron IMO
I got the letter in the mail today for the physical And drug test, etc. We have to mail them a check then I guess we get more info on where to complete it. We can't do it until after June 15th, if I read correctly.
Hey everyone! I received my letter from Mercy today and I WAS ACCEPTED! I sent everything in last Tuesday so I was so surprised to find my acceptance letter in the mail today! It was a wonderful surprise because I just finished my finals up at Penn State main today, moved out of my dorm, left PSU for good, got home and checked the mail.. and there it was! I am so excited to meet all of you and start this journey :)
I also received my letter of acceptance in the mail today! I am sending in my confirmation fee tomorrow! I cant wait to meet all of you and to start school. I am beyond excited for all of this to start :)
Also, they will mail a packet that includes all the information you need about what credits will be accepted and if you need to CLEP. They will also send a packet about background checks and your physical
Does anyone know what's required in the physical. Last time I took for for a hospital I had to lift 75 pounds. I'm pregnant right now and obviously cannot lift 75 pounds. I'm wondering if I need to contact someone to let them know and/or if I can be held back to start next year because I am pregnant? If anyone has any info please let me know. Thanks. Can't wait to meet you all at orientation. We need to set a time or place to meet before hand and grab lunch or something.
