UPENN 2015

Hi all! I have looked around for another thread about MSN applicants for UPENN for 2015 but have only found the Dual BSN/MSN thread. Is anyone out there applying to the ersity of Pennsylvania for any of the 2015 semesters?

I am applying for the Pediatric Acute Care: Critical Care concentration starting Summer 2015. My application just went "Ready for Review" status and now I am anxiously waiting to hear back about an interview (fingers crossed). Anybody out there in the same boat or had a similar experience? Any tips for the interview?

Looking forward to hearing from you guys! Good luck!

yeah.. i hear you. I feel the same way..I thought this process would be more organized and that I would hear sooner. I can only say in their defense is that they must receive SO many applications that it is overwhelming them. I do think that my chances of getting in would have been better had the responded to the 1398409328409 calls and emails I made trying to find out the status of my application..

FNP,rejected...

I got an email confirming the receipt of my application and explaining that I had June 15 to submit transcripts and essays etc. I'm confused..I did not reapply.

As I sit here waiting to hear back because no one ever picks up the phone in admissions.. (and it takes weeks to hear from someone sometimes), I can't help but be really frustrated with this whole admissions process. I'm going through my emails to see where I went wrong and if there was something else that was missing and I'm seeing a lot of emails that went unanswered. Several times I asked for confirmation of receipt of my stuff and no one ever replied only to get an email 2 months later saying that it was missing from my file. This whole process was the worst experience I have ever had applying for anything! I'm trying to think positively but I can't but feel like my application didn't get a fair chance. Future applicants reading this.. beware of the process.

Got in touch with upenn...decisions now by the END OF THE MONTH

Got my rejection letter today to the acute care PNP program. I'm so glad the wait is over. The whole process and lack of organization really put a sour taste in my mouth. I was really worried about how I would make a decision had I gotten in. I'm very excited to start at Duke in August! I can't say enough good things about my experience I've had with them thus far. Best of luck to everyone still waiting on Penn.

Me too, I will attend Columbia which is much mor organized than Upenn....

I loved Columbia when I visited. Was really bummed they didn't have acute care Peds. Congrats and Best of luck to you!

I will be starting FNP program in fall and would love to connect with fellow classmates.

Hi!

Congrats to you!! I also applied to Penn, but for a different specialty. I was wondering if you applied for full or part time.

I am having such a difficult time reaching admissions...

I got wait listed and am waiting to hear back. I think this is worse than being rejected.. Apparently they can offer me admissions any time between now and september. I'm grateful for being on the list, but this is torturous. Admissions told me that they definitely do pull from the waiting list..any primary care peds np full timers out there that is going to turn down their admissions??

Hey Everyone,

I have applied to the FNP program for part time admissions. I applied way back in March but my application status still reads 'submitted'. When I spoke to someone in admissions back in May they told me to expect a decision by the end of June, but still no word. Now I have not been able to get in touch with anyone in the admissions office.

Is anyone else having this same experience? I'm not overly optimistic; however, I put a lot of effort into the application and I'd like to have an official decision either way!

Best of luck to everyone - and congrats to those who have been accepted!
