UPENN 2015

I am currently applying to the Fall 2015 program for Pediatric NP Primary Care. I haven't submitted my application, yet (almost done!), but wanted to say hi and good luck. keep us posted on how the whole experience was!

I will be starting in the Summer 2015 semester for the Adult-Gero Primary Care Program at Penn. I submitted my application on October 31 which was the due date to start in the spring (I initially applied to start Spring 2015 but later decided to wait until summer), I interviewed on December 15 and was emailed my acceptance on January 30 so hopefully you will hear soon! Congratulations on your admission! How was the interview process? Any tips?

Thank you! I thought the interview process was very relaxed...it felt like I was having a friendly conversation with the program director rather than an Ivy League program admissions interview! I walked in expecting to be bombarded and drilled with questions but we talked about my application essay, my experience as an online BSN student, the unit I currently work on, and what area I would eventually like to work in as an NP. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. The program director printed out a sample course of study and discussed what classes would be taken when and how clinicals work. I would be sure to think of some questions to ask your interviewer about the program...I thought of a few good questions and my interviewer was impressed with that. Did you ever go to a UPENN open house? I am trying to think of questions to ask, but since I went to an open house, a lot of my questions were answered. I talked to someone from my program and am in the process of setting up an interview time.

I am going to reread my essays and make sure that I am familiar with what I wrote 5 months ago. Any tips on questions to ask? Ill go through the website to see if I can find anything else, but they have a lot of information on line. Thanks so much for your help!

I just submitted my application for the AGACNP Fall 2015 part time program. One of my co-workers applied for the same program and has already had her interview. She said that it was pretty laid back also, like another poster. She said that it was really just going over the program and what to expect and that the interviewer actually didn't ask too much.

I am anxiously awaiting any further emails. I will keep the thread posted. :-)

I applied for the Fall 2015 FNP program! Does anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back?

I had my interview this morning. Fairly informal, but she did ask about professional organizations I belonged to, journals I had read, ect. She also asked about my leadership both in and outside of the workplace. Hope this helps!

My application finally just went into 'ready for review' because of a transcript mix up. I am so nervous and anxious for this interview! eml2142, i see you are from virginia. Are you willing to travel to attend UPENN? i'm about an hour and forty minutes away and willing to travel. Will any of you be attending full time?

Also are you guys applying for loans..scholarships...etc?
