Hi everybody,
I couldn't find a thread for UPenn but is anybody else applying?
Hi everyone!
My name's Michelle and I am in the 2014 cohort. I will be one of the peer advisor co-chairs for your guys' cohort. For those of you asking about the Facebook group, I believe that will be started shortly - I will certainly let you guys know as soon as it goes up. Please let me know if you have any questions that I can answer in the mean time, especially for those of you who have the wonderful opportunity to choose between different schools! Congratulations to those of you who got in, and good luck to those on the waitlist! :)
Hi everyone! I stayed away from all these forums during my application process in order to not stress myself out! I'm admitted into the FNP track and may have met several of you during the in-person interview on Dec. 8th. I'm also overwhelmed by the idea of moving across the country in only a few months-- Any one else coming from Washington State???? Epic road-trip companions??? Look forward to getting to know everyone more during the next few months!!!! Cheers!
Hi folks! I'm wondering if anyone else on the waitlist knows about what our odds are for receiving an offer of admission. I've tried getting in touch with admissions a few times and can't seem to get ahold of anyone. I applied for the midwifery/WHNP track, and know that this tends to be one of the more competitive tracks at most programs. If anyone has any information, I'd greatly appreciate it. Again, congrats to everyone offered admission!
Hi everyone,
Here's the link to the Facebook group for your cohort: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PennNursingABSN.MSN2015/
It can also be found by searching "Penn ABSN/MSN 2015 Cohort" on Facebook. Please feel free to join and ask questions!
Hi Cyaos,
I'm not sure if this thread has been abandoned but I am interested in applying for Summer 2016 and was hoping to take some of my prerequisites at CCP. I read that you completed some of your prerequisites there and was wondering how you managed that. I spoke with someone from their admissions department that said non-matriculating students can only take one class per semester. I have seen the same thing at lots of nearby community colleges and I am really struggling at finding a place to take my prerequisites. Did you run into this problem at all? Is there a way to get around this technicality? Any help you could give would be great!

I can see that. For peds acute care, we have to take at least a year off to work in between the BSN and MSN. I was thinking of going back to CA for a little while, which is certainly appealing to me. I'm not sure if they require/encourage time off of peds primary care too.
