With the application deadline in ~30 days I figured, why not make a thread for applicants? I could've sworn I started a thread for this last week but can no longer find it. I'm applying for the PMHNP speciality and although UPenn is a relatively new addition, I have fallen in love with their program. Looking forward to replies from everyone.

Well for starts, Columbia offers the DNP which is my ultimate goal. The tuition of UPENN for just the BSN/MSN is also tremendously high, more than Columbia, and I would end up with a doctorate from Columbia. I also feel it's a bit redundant to get our BSN if there is an option to go straight for the MSN at other programs. The location/ clinical placements for Columbia in NYC are also preferable for me. Both are incredible institutions, but personally, Columbia is the better fit for me for many reasons. If any additional questions feel free to ask me on here or message me. ?

@Hownowseacow In your letter did they give the option for you to join the waitlist?
@Hownowseacow please reach out to Filomena ASAP. She will be the best person to help you on this. I know they do consider you for the ABSN if you didn't make it into the MSN program but since they didn't mention it in the rejection letter is worth asking. Also the letters are set to automatically go out starting today. So wait until the email notifications drops and then follow up with her. Best of luck .

Thank you so much. This is very helpful. I will be sure to reach out. Congratulations by the way!!
@El Primus Hi, do you have any idea when regular, not accelerated/combined, MSN decisions are set to come out?
@aspiringcnm3 I think the traditional BSN/MSN has a different timeline because of the start date. I will find out the exact timeframe when I get on campus today. I will reach out this afternoon.
@El Primus thank you so much ? !! I would be a summer 2020 start if accepted and I know they mentioned sometime in February we’d hear... Just anxious to know!
