I had my interview for the Acute Care Pediatric Program - I was told decisions should hopefully be out by the end of the month. Has anyone heard anything for critical care concentration? Congrats to everyone who is receiving acceptance letters!

I was also accepted to the ABSN program! Has anyone received an email about the visiting day? Trying to figure out when to book my flights

My interview is on the 12th!

I’m really surprised they have not finalised their admissions when the orientation is in May.

I am an international student and 3 months sounds rather rushed for me to quit my job, serve my notice and run over to PA.

Any other AGACNP applicants?

I have been accepted into the ABSN program! Now I have to choose between this and Jefferson’s FACT-1 program. Anybody else in the same boat? Or have any advice as to which program to choose?

I hear ya! I haven't met anyone from the AC-PNP (critical care) program yet.

Hey everyone, I'm in for FNP! Anyone here anticipating having to choose between Vanderbilt's pre-specialty program and this program? I am, and would love to bounce thoughts/insights off of others who are as well. Both are excellent schools, with the main differences in my opinion being cost and length. Vanderbilt is only 2 years long and way cheaper than Penn. But Penn's got the #1 ranked nursing school, is super strong on global health which I'm interested in, and obviously has awesome networks/opportunities that come with being an Ivy. Anyone else thinking about this?

How many hours of clinical experience do students gain during the ABSN and MSN, respectively? I can’t find that info anywhere on UPenn’s website

does anyone have a recommendation for self-paced online intro to biology? I was just accepted to the ABSN program but I haven't taken biology!

I'm not sure if you were looking at regular nursing programs, but from the graduate rankings I have seen Penn as #4 and Emory as #3. For neonatal, it is required to work for two years in between the BSN and MSN portion so I would have to have that time off in between. This is what makes me hesitant about Penn for their masters program is on campus whereas Emory and another school I applied to are both distance based so you just go to campus one or more times a semester for the skills lab portions I believe. It would be nice to be in the class room for the masters portion as I feel this is more beneficial, but distance based would allow me to move somewhere after the BSN and not have to relocate a second time for school. I know that Emory does not guarantee placement for the masters portion if yours is also distance based whereas Penn and the other school I applied to does which is nice. I am from Florida so the warm weather is also drawing me south as I am currently in the cold for undergraduate. In addition, Penn's program costs about $25,000 more which is also weighing on my decision. They are both such great schools though which is why I am torn, but I am still waiting on the last school I applied to as well.
