I just got into the NNP program, but also got into Emory's program. I am still waiting to hear back from one more school, but those would be the three I'm deciding between. If you have any insight please share!

Congratulations!! ? From what I read, Penn is ranked #1 in the nation but Emory is close behind at #3. Although, I'm not sure how important that is for finding jobs post-graduation as there is such a shortage. Right now, I'm thinking more about where I want to spend the next 2.5 years and as a California girl, I'm not sure how I feel about the Philadelphia winters... When I attended Penn's interview day, MANY of the current students said that they were opting to take time off between the BSN and the MSN portion because of the rigor. This was a surprise to me as I had not really planned on that. When I visited Emory and talked to the director of my program and a current student, my impression I was given was that most students complete both parts of the program back to back. Emory's proximity to the CDC is a huge plus for me, as well as the campus is just gorgeous. I loved Penn as well, but I did hear that there can be some competition with Villanova for clinical placements. What are your thoughts between the two?

Were you able to speak to any of the Emory students directly? I'd be interested to hear how they like their program.

I'm trying to decide between Hopkins MN, Columbia MDE/DNP, and UPENN and aid will definitely be a factor. Is anyone else weighing these options? Anyone heard anything on financial aid? I'm also considering U of Minnesota, which is literally half the price...
Waiting on financial aid too. Not sure when we will hear about that

My tour of the campus was done by a current BSN/MSN AGPCNP student and she loves the program! She says it is intense but not too much for her to handle. She completed her undergrad at a large public school like I did and said she was surprised at how invested the professors are in helping their students succeed. I had a similar conversation with some of the current Penn students, but when I asked why they picked Penn over other schools, the answers I was given were "Because it's Penn" and "Because my family is close by". So not super helpful ?
