UPENN ABSN 2020

Hi everyone!

I think the previous thread for this cohort got deleted so I'm starting a new one. This thread is for anyone who has applied to UPENN's ABSN program for Summer 2020.

What programs within the ABSN did everyone apply to (Second degree BSN, BSN-MSN, BSN-PHD)? I applied to the Second Degree program.

Yeah !! Haha but I feel good. ABSN decisions will be out first week in February. I will have to wait to find out about PhD as well. So my sleepless nights won't end first week of Feb. I'm praying for y'all ??

@El Primus You as well! It’s unlikely that I will be able to make it because that’s one of the interview dates for another program I’ve applied for. I’m still waiting to hear back from 5 schools. Also I live in Oregon so the distance is prohibitive right now.

I applied ABSN only. However, I waitlisted. Does anyone know the likelihood of getting off the waitlist and accepted?

I was accepted to Drexel and Thomas Jefferson University. I did put down a deposit at TJU because their deadline was last month.

@orneryscientist Glad you are still waiting on other options. I feel ya. Que sera sera !! Best of luck. Just let us know where you decide to go.

@Emilee Cheam depends on when the deadline for deposit is. You can bet on final decision after that because that is when they get to know total number of students who declined their offer.

@lavieenrose super bummed about your situation. Did you apply to other schools? Also if you were planning to reapply to Penn next cycle, I'm more than happy to help you put your application together. You have a very unique and interesting background. They need people like you but its all about how you market yourself unfortunately. Sending lot of love your way. Best of luck.

I was denied admittance. Does that mean to both the BSN and the MSN? Did any one else get rejection letters as mine was worded weird.
