Hi everyone, getting close to time to hear back. Could anyone share their undergrad GPAs / pre-req GPAs and work backgrounds?

I'm also waiting to hear back! It's supposed to be by January 15th, but the notifications are rolling, so techinically it could be anytime in the next 10 days. I'm nervous- but at this point I'm just happy to have made it through most of the wait.

My undergrad does not have GPAs, only written evaluations. Mine were quite good, especially when looked at chronologically- though I definitely had some shakey spots. I had an interdisciplinary major that focused in medical apartheid, but also had a lot of lab classes and TA'd cell bio as well. I've taken almost all of my pre-reqs (except A&P 2 and chem this Spring semester), and have managed an A+ in all of them. 

I used to work in college admissions, but left a couple of years ago to work in a birth center as an admin and with some minor MA duties (and some minor doula work) + I fully managed our perinatal data registry. Now, I work at my local hospital as a peer mentor doula (pn and pp) for women who either had, or have substance use disorder. 

I honestly do not know how strong the pool is or how this will turn out, but good luck to us all!

Hope everyone is maintaining their sanity this week as we await decisions! I wish there were more applicants on this thread, if only to have more people to share in the anticipation. (It seems like previous years' threads were much busier. Any chance there's another thread for Penn that I haven't found?)

Has anyone reached out to or heard any updates from the admissions office recently?

I haven't reached out recently, but the last time I did they said that decisions would be released by 01/15 for those that applied by the priority deadline!

They have extended the application deadline to Feb 1st. Maybe that's why it's been a delay from admissions. I am not sure, just a guess.

I had been thinking the same thing!? I can't find another thread though.

I thought the other deadline was December 1st? Do you mean they are still accepting applications to the program?

Just the regular application deadline was extended to February 1st -- So I'm guessing they're still accepting applications, but hopefully not for the early deadline cohort of apps. Part of me is hoping this means they received fewer applications this year... haha
