hi, i'm a new user...i took the pn test yesterday and of course left feeling like i had never attended nursing school.:uhoh21: i had 85 questions and i honestly felt that the questions stayed at an equal level of difficulty. i didn't have any "no brainers" or very many that i could just pick an answer with certainty. i took it with two other classmates and they both had 85 questions as well. i don't see how that few questions could determine if you have gained enough knowledge to become a nurse. i obviously have not seen if i passed or failed but i'm feeling really lousy about the whole thing. i heard that you can access the board of nursing website in your state and find out before the 48 hour time period does anyone know if this is true??:wink2:
you should be glad you live in Ohio because in California you have to wait 2-4 wks. for your results (in the mail); you can't even check online for your name. I too was cut off at 85 questions and I thought the questions were hard and nothing similar to the ones in the Saunders nclex review. Wish me luck.
Oh no...I don't know what I'd do with myself...waiting all that time!! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!! Having those hard questions is a good sign, I also reviewed the Saunders book as well as the Incedibly Easy series...no similar questions and I also found that I left feeling horrible about the test. My instructor told me today that you can "usually" tell if you passed or failed by the types of q's that you got...fundamentals isn't "usually" a good sign if you had a lot of them. Although I'm not sure, just using her 30+ years of experience. Once again good luck!!!

Good luck to you! I'm in cali and week 3 for me will start on monday. Most of my other classmates have been getting their results at 2/3weeks Im hoping I find something out today! I'm going crazy over here. I dont know what number it cut off at because once I passed 85 I just got scared lol.
I hadn't told hardly anyone when I was taking my NXLEX. I took it Wednesday and came out thoroughly convinced that I'd failed.
In the last 24 hours I've probably looked up my name 100 times trying to see if it still said pending or if it said approved or active....(or failed...whatever they do). I got home from taking my dad to the doctor around 2 which would have been 50 hours. It still said pending so I bit the bullet and paid the $7.95. I was so nervous that I typed my credit card number in wrong the first time and it was denied. In the end though, I passed! Yay! Guess I can change my designation on here soon.....
