unsatisfied with ielts results

HI! I just received my test report form in ielts. Well, I'm not happy with the result, actually I feel so depressed. I got 6.5 in speaking test, but I need to have atleast 7 to qualify me to apply for a visa screen certificate in CGFNS/ICHP. The rest of my scores though are okay. This is my fourth time to take the test and I always get 6 or 6.5 in speaking test. I already enrolled in a review center and even speak to a native english speaker (american) regularly to improve my speaking skills but my scores did not improve. I don't know what else to do. I'm thinking maybe there are other english speaking countries out there beside U.S. which only require a minimum band score of 6.5 in speaking? Please help! I'm tired of retaking the test just to get atleast 7 spoken band.:bluecry1:

I have read in some forums that both their writing and speaking score were increased. You can usually see those threads in British expat forums.

Hi..Have anyone from UK had experience with remarking their IELTS. I am planning to go for a remarking as well as it is already my 2nd attempt and still they gave me 6.5 in writing. I have read some threads saying their remarks have increased as well, so I hope mind will increase too. Today, I called my test centre and they say it would take 3 months. I thought it would be lesser since it's in UK. They said it's because they will be sending it to London or even Australia.

Anyway, i'll have mind remarked this week and I hope the rest will keep us all updated with their remarks

as well.

I'm also waiting the results of the EOR, have been for almost nine weeks now. It says at the Finnish co-operative's web page that the remarking can take up to six weeks after the Head Office receives the EOR-form.

Wonder how long it takes to mail the paper to England, as the regular mail takes a letter there in three postal days.

I think it would take 8-10 weeks, I have no idea if it is business days or it includes weekends. Maybe due to long holidays last month, there was no ample time for them to recheck it.:)

Hi I also sit for the exam last nov 5, 2011 and had applied for remarking too.. I just called today to the review center here in Dagupan Philippines (since I applied thru them) and they said that they do not have yet my remarking results. Did you applied on your own or thru Niners? thank you so much, Im sorry for your remarking results...
