unsatisfied with ielts results

HI! I just received my test report form in ielts. Well, I'm not happy with the result, actually I feel so depressed. I got 6.5 in speaking test, but I need to have atleast 7 to qualify me to apply for a visa screen certificate in CGFNS/ICHP. The rest of my scores though are okay. This is my fourth time to take the test and I always get 6 or 6.5 in speaking test. I already enrolled in a review center and even speak to a native english speaker (american) regularly to improve my speaking skills but my scores did not improve. I don't know what else to do. I'm thinking maybe there are other english speaking countries out there beside U.S. which only require a minimum band score of 6.5 in speaking? Please help! I'm tired of retaking the test just to get atleast 7 spoken band.:bluecry1:

Not yet. I think I have to call there (or visit) tomorrow.

..there's no limit in taking ielts now..

Well, basicly there will be four weeks in between tests, since it takes two weeks for the results to come and then the sing-ups close two weeks before the test date. So, if you don't know right after the test that you didn't make it, you'll have to wait for few weeks.

Then again, you might want to consider if it is worth of re-taking the test right after the previous one, since how much English you can learn in four weeks?

To my previous post: Got my EOR-results this morning via e-mail, no increase on that one part that I would have needed it... re-taking the test on March 10th (the first free seat in Helsinki) =o(

well same here,

No improvement applied for EOR on 10/11/2011 got EOR result today( 13/01/2012).

no change,othe score were 9,8,7.

Please dont ask me any question as i will not be here again on this forum as I am not nurse.

those who missed by .5 ,keep trying you are there

got my result..writing increased from 6.5 to 7..to those ielts takers..there's still hope...:)

Hi All,

Is there someone out there who would comfort me over my IELTS results?? I feel so low, life has virtually lost meaning. I checked my IELTS results online today and this is what I got:

Listening 8.5

Reading 6.5

Writing 8.5

Speaking 8.5

Unbelievable, isn't it? I needed a minimum of 7 band in each criteria to apply for visa. The trouble is that I am so confident of how I did the reading that I cannot believe I got 6.5! I was expecting minimum band 8. My question is this, is it possible that the online results are wrong? I'm waiting for my test form in the mail.If it turns out that the scores are the same, can anyone advise whether I should go for remark or not?

Please say something, I'm sinking!
