@ DominiqueRose thank you for posting the previous cut off scores! I was looking for those to see what the previous ones were. I agree with @Moochie Wallus, I would also retake the classes instead of the HESI. You got a really great score! But good luck with Spring! I hope you get in ! :)

@ cultureddd Hi! I can relate with the anxiety feeling. I kind of didn't do well as I expected on my HESI lol.... But I am applying with 95.68. I hope it is competitive enough as well. I heard Fall is the most competitive. Did you already have your signing?

Just went on the UNLV Fall 2016 forum and saw that they started receiving calls on July 7th. If this year is anything like last year, we may start getting calls by the end of next week!

I'd really love for that to happen! But I see that the first of July is on a Saturday â˜¹ï¸ & I don't know if they make calls over the weekend. If not, we'll probably have to wait until the 3rd. If not after the 4th. I'm nervous lol

Retaking a class and getting an A in it only gives you maybe 0.2 more points depending on what your grade was prior. I had a B+ in Math 124 and if I retake it I get 1 point deducted for taking it a second time but then if an A is achieved I get about 1.2 pts... I got a 94.5% on the HESI and if I don't get in to the Fall I am retaking the HESI because if I get a 97% my score raises even higher than if I were to retake a class... that's just my input.

I have been trying to find useful tips for UNLV and this is definitely a quiet round! My signing session is today... super nervous!

@namastenurse94 I didn't know signings were still happening, it was pretty quick and the advisor there will give you information regarding the program and all of that. Do you know when the last signing is? And if you don't mind me asking, how much points are you applying with?

I feel like this semesters cut off is gonna be much higher honestly. I've never seen so many people with such high points on any past threads. Like everyone has done super super well. Especially on the HESI. I'm just so nervous. I want to be one of the 48 students sooo soo bad. It's all I've ever wanted.

How do you guys plan on paying for nursing school in the summer? Cause I know tuition is usually higher & loans only get disbursed for fall & spring.

@icantwaittobeanurse oh man, I hope it's a low cut off lol I'm standing at 95.67 or 95.68... I hope it's enough. How much are you applying with? They said they will start calling from July 1st through 13th right?

im not sure about the tuition for summer. I honestly didn't even think about it yet lol I'm too stressed from worrying if I am even gonna get in or not Lol

I think it is hard to make an educated guess on what the cut off is going to be. There are so many factors that go into this that we won't really know until it happens. If we base it off of these past few semesters, the cut off will probably slightly increase or decrease from the 91.0 area. If we compare Fall 2015's cutoff (I believe it was around 90.6) to Fall 2016's cut off (92.7), it would be hard to make an assumption for 2017 with that large 2 point jump. Heck, if we just base it off of the lack of activity in this forum, we could probably be the only applicants this fall and we'll all get in. Lol. There are just so many variables that would play a role in this that we'll all be anxious no matter what. I'm just here hoping for the best!

And as for paying for summer tuition, I'll worry about that if and when I get accepted. No need to add extra stress to myself if it's not something I'll need to worry about yet.

@moochie Wallus I agree! This post seems quiet lol not sure why because I heard most signing sessions were full. I overheard people in my signing session talking about this thread but they said they never commented on it. At least tomorrow is July 1st, so hopefully they start making calls this coming week! And good luck to us all!!!
