UNLV Nursing Fall 2017

I am applying for Fall too! Have you taken your HESI yet ?

Yes I have! I'm getting ready to take it again though next week in hopes of a higher score!! Have you?

Yeah I took it about 2 weeks ago. I did pretty well. Now I'm just hoping for an A in biol 251 & I should be in good standing to get accepted!!

I am too planning to apply in the Fall. Taking my Hesi in middle of April!

This thread has been pretty quiet, anyone have any idea of how many people are applying this fall? I have heard rumors that there is a lot and a lot of them have very high scores. Hope that doesn't throw off the cut-off.

Hoping to apply with either a 91.29, 91.97 or a 92.43 depending on my HESI score. Don't feel that it is competitive enough What are everyone else's?

Hey everyone. I stumbled across this forum while looking up nursing school tips. I, too, am applying for the fall. My signing session is tomorrow, June 1st at 1pm. How is everyone calculating their points when applying? I'm fairly new to this as I just decided to pursue nursing last semester. I've already completed the prerequisites and HESI. Good luck to everyone!

So I calculated it by finding my gpa for nursing courses multiplying that by 10. Then adding the amount of points from attempts. Then for the HESI adding all the scores dividing them by 8.75. Sum off all that is your app score is from what I understand at least.

Finished with my signing session. It was quick and easy. We were told that we should know whether we have been accepted or not by July 13th. We were also told that last fall's cut off was 92.7 and that we could possibly see a similar cut off this year. There were also a total of 12 applicants in my signing session which apparently was a "full session."

And thank you Cultureddd. I found the calculation worksheet and saw that I met the requirement of having at least an 88 minimum to apply. Now I have to anxiously wait a month and a half to see if I get a call!
