UNLV Nursing Fall 2017

Hi everyone! So I know it's really early, but I am super anxious about applying for the 2017 Fall nursing program at UNLV. If anyone else is applying for Fall 2017 comment below!! Good luck to everyone :)

Yes, I got referred to Quest. They send the results back to our school and then the school lab sends it over to the school of nursing... from my understanding (I think I remember the nurse saying they will fax it to the SON) However, I requested a copy for myself when the lab sent the results to our school. Mine came back within 3 days. I had to sign a medical documents release at the health center before they referred me out.

So at Quest, you told them you wanted your results sent to UNLV's health center? Like you gave them the health center's address? And then the health center sent them to the SON? Did you have to call the health center ahead of time to let them know you'd be sending results over?

I don't think you can go to Quest directly, so I got a referral from unlv's health center. Once I went to Quest, they told me my results would get sent to the school (health center) because they're the ones who ordered the test/gave me the referral. And then the lab technician at the health center emailed me when my results were ready for pick up. The workers at unlv also informed me that they would send the results over to the SON, since I had previously told them that it is for the program. I didn't have to get any addresses or anything because Quest had the referral from unlv's health center and Quest won't release documents to patients directly (I think).

Im applying this spring with a 91.8, i have all A's and two A- in my science gpa but i only got a 90 on the hesi. I also am applying without micro. What are your thoughts of how competitive the spring of 2018 scores will be?

Fall is supposedly the most competitive semester, so the spring cut off, usually, is lower. Considering last year it dropped 1 point between fall and spring, this spring should be around 93.3.

I think it would be pretty risky to apply without micro. What's the rush?

How are the to-do lists coming guys? So far, all I have left is my physical, which I plan on getting next week .

I plan on getting mine from Amazon around the last week of August. What about you ?

I am not too sure. I always thought they sold everything in a bundle at the bookstore, but I am going to double check later. Maybe after our orientation I will buy them lol

Yeah every semester they have bundles that you can order. They said they'd be letting us know when they got in. I just don't wanna pay that much for 'em lol
