University of West Florida (UWF) FNP - Spring 2026

Published

I was hoping to connect with other folks who have applied for or intend to apply for the Spring 2026 FNP cohort at UWF.

I applied for early admission, the advisor said about two weeks for decisions to go out.

Anyone else?

Whaaaaat? Are there only 25 spots total for Spring admission? That's INSANE! I had no idea UWF was that selective and competitive!

Good morning,

I've noticed that most of my updates, including my acceptance, came in on Friday afternoons, so try not to stress. There is a good chance you will hear something this Friday! When we met with the advisor yesterday, it showed 25 total seats with only 10 filled, which means there are still 15 open spots. So keep your spirits up, because you are definitely still in this!

So you mind me asking what your stats were in regards to GPA, years of practice, etc?

That's what it looks like when looking at the class enrollment. It appears someone has withdrawn, so now 16 seats are available! image.png.fbf930beab150a96f3b1ee20ae3669cc.png

I regards to GPA, I'm not sure of the exact number, but I made mostly all As in nursing school & for my prerequisites. I've been a nurse for almost 6 years in various settings. Honestly, I believe my work in rural settings helped as some info I've read suggests they emphasis the role of the NP is to fill gaps in rural settings.

Thank you all for suffering with me haha! I just got an email an ho it ago that decisions will be sent out "this week" and to be patient. Unfortunately I am out of patience LOL.

Thank you for the update !. It's driving me crazy not to know. Some of us have to plan around work and finances ... can't find out last minute like that 😞

Mine just switched to awaiting decision from in review

Mine's been in review for weeks LOL
