  1. So you mind me asking what your stats were in regards to GPA, years of practice, etc?
  2. Yes, I did. I spoke with the admissions staff today also, they staff should know if you are admitted! Good Luck!
  3. Well, I just received the same email. However, I will most likely withdrawal my application and go to my alma mater. I have been a nurse for 18 years and have a 3.86 undergrad GPA. So this program may be too advanced for me if the applicant pool is more qualified. I will speak with an admissions counselor, I do not want to enter a program that has expectations beyond my abilities.
  4. My status is still, "in review." I received an email yesterday about referring other people to the program. At about 1500, I missed a call from the advisor stating they are still waiting on decisions. I wonder what the difference is between in review and awaiting decision. I hope we hear something today.
  5. I believe that you would be in the second round if you did not apply before the Sept. 19 deadline, so decisions after Nov. 1st. I work with a NP that attended this program just a few years ago, she said it was very doable with a young child and working full time. I wasn't really sure what else to ask her beyond that. I am also nervous about the way it is set up. Best of luck though! You should find out if you got in by early admission the end of next week or early the following week. Fingers crossed!
  6. I received a check in call last week as well. I was told they should have decisions late next week and the emails should be trickling out through the end of next week and early decisions should know before before or around the 13th. Do y'all care to share your stats?
  7. I believe early admission closed on the 19th. Did the advisor tell you when to expect a decision? Mine told me about 2 weeks, but looking at history on here it looks like folks have waited about three weeks in the past
  8. I was hoping to connect with other folks who have applied for or intend to apply for the Spring 2026 FNP cohort at UWF. I applied for early admission, the advisor said about two weeks for decisions to go out. Anyone else?
  9. I have had the day from hell..............I have been in Florida for about 8 months, I was stupid, I never got all my paperwork together to get my Florida drivers license. So I am still driving on the license from my old state. I live about 2 miles from work and to be honest with you, I tried a few times to get it done but do not have a really good excuse. So today I was off from work and I went to pick my son up from school (0.9 miles away) and did not realize I had a tail light out, until I got stopped by a cop. He asked me for my ID, I then realized I left my purse at home. So he asked me for my name and date of birth, all that jazz, he told me he was going to run a check on me and make sure my license was valid in the state I am originally from. Well he comes back to the vehicle and tells me I need to call someone to come get my vehicle because I am not legal to drive, so I called my husband, please understand this whole time, I am less than 1000 feet from my house. he goes back to the squad car and comes back to my vehicle all serious and tells me he needs me to step out of the vehicle, so I asked him 'why.' He proceeds to pull open my door and pull me out of the vehicle and handcuff me, he told me I was resisting arrest. At this point I am a wreck, I have two children 5 and under in my vehicle and I am thinking that I unknowingly committed some crime, I really just did not know what to think. He then tells me that I was reaching for something and I should not have asked him why he wanted me to step out of my vehicle. I was not rude, I was just shocked this whole time, but at this point I thought I was going to vomit on him or pass out, it was horrifying. Long story short when my husband walked down from the house he uncuffed me and told me he was not going to arrest me for resisting arrest. He told me I need to show up in court for a misdemeanor 2 residency violation. Am I going to lose my nursing license, what happens when a person goes to court for a misdemeanor traffic violation? Do I need a lawyer to go to court with me, I mean am I going to get there and them ask me how I plead and then take me to jail and then I will not have a license when I get out. I have never been in trouble, I was planning on applying to APN schools when my kids got in school, is this going to make that impossible.
