University of Washington's BSN program 2014

Published

Good morning!

So I'm going to try this whole process over again, as a repeat offender...I mean applicant for UW's BSN program 2014. I applied last year, made it through the proctored essay portion but was not accepted. After nursing (haha) my wounds w/ large amounts of ice cream, chocolate & such, I've recently found my mojo to try again. Anyone else re-applying or 1st time applying for 2014? I know it's extremely early in the game, but those deadlines come up faster than you think! I've saved all the tips applicants that have applied more than once and hope that 2nd time is the charm.

Anyone else out there getting ready for it? We got this :D

Yea they send the email about a week before the proctored essay. If you get accepted to write it you passed the first round (200-300 of the most competitive applicants), if not they send you a denial email. They said they haven't automatically admitted anyone in a long time, if you miss the proctored essay (when they said for you to come) you will be automatically denied. Try to distract yourself for the next few weeks! haha

Thanks, did anyone apply to SU as well?

Yes.. their whole application was weird for me. I applied last year, so they already used my application from last year. I just had to update the essay. But i had to email it, since I couldn't submit it online... I don't know it was strange and when I called they were somewhat helpful somewhat not haha. I'm not sure if they received everything, did you get a confirmation email?

No, but I summited mine online. There wasn't much to the application. They must go directly on grades.

Yes I've heard grades and essay very important. I do know of ppl accepted who had lower grades though. I'm impatient as well haha

I heard they have about 5 spots for transfer students.

Seattle University

I applied to Seattle, but the APNI program, not the BSN.

I just want to know already! Through the week goes quickly, but once the weekend hits, time drags! (which is normally a good thing). I need to finish my PLU essays...250-300 words fills up fast! :banghead:

Hope everyone is doing well, keeping my fingers crossed for everyone to be able to do the essay!

I have to admit, I am finding it easiest of all to wait to hear about UW. It's nice because they don't take months, and they give you a definite date! The other programs I applied to take much longer to get back in touch, plus the dates are a bit more nebulous. I will probably be a nervous wreck in a few weeks if I don't hear back from some other places.

Most let you know in April right?
