University of Washington (UW) DNP 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Looked for another thread but couldn't find one, anyone applying to University of Washington's (UW) DNP program starting Autumn 2021?

What track is everyone applying to?

Does anyone know if any one thing is worth more weight in admissions (GPA, LORs, Experience, etc.)?

Does anyone know the profile of a competitive applicant? Someone in the 2020 thread posted a link for admission stats from 2018, looked like around a 35-45% acceptance rate, depending on the track.  I haven't been able to find any updated information. Anyone have any?

I'll be applying to the Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP track!

Got into AGPC! Congratulations everyone admitted ?

I am just curious to know if everyone who received a change to their portal today or phone call/email is a resident of Washington? I noticed that myself and others who have posted who still have it say "submitted" are nonresident applicants.....not sure if that may have something to do with it?

I'm a nonresident and got in

Specializes in ICU.

Hey y’all! I applied to the FNP track and my status says “offer” with options to accept or decline, but it doesn’t say congratulations, like others have said and I didn’t get an email. Any idea what this might mean?

I was waitlisted for the AGACNP at #8, which is basically a zero percent chance of admission...

Waitlisted at 13 which means I was basically last place. Good luck to everyone else.

We can hope, but I’m not gonna.

If it was your first time applying and got waitlisted, just apply again next year!

LOL nah, if you're #1 or 2 on the list, maybe you have hope.  Anything after that, yeah probably not. Definitely not at 13.

14 admitted. 14 on the waitlist. 14 rejected. The email they sent telling people to apply again next year and to not expect any special treatment, etc., felt patronizing.  I am waiting decisions on a few other schools, but, I’m going to go ahead and accept at SeattleU.  It’ll be a fine school, and a good opportunity to get out of Alaska for a few years.

Best of luck to you and your endeavors. I only applied to UW, so I'll reevaluate next year and see if I want to reapply again or just move on with life.

waitlist #4 ? Super bummed because UW was my first choice. Do I even have the chance of getting in at all?

I'm waiting to hear back from other schools. Fingers crossed that I will get accepted to at least one of them.  Best of luck to all of us!
