Hi everyone! Just wanted to start a forum for those applying to University of Washington's ABSN program for Fall 2020. I'm applying from California and unfortunately, I don't have any healthcare experience working directly with/under nurses as I'm an ophthalmic technician. I graduated last year with a BS in Health Science with a focus in Community Health.
Any feedback/advice on becoming a stronger applicant are welcome, or sharing your progress in the application is great too! Thanks! ?

best of luck!
Hi Marin,
Could you clarify what you mean?
Does this mean getting UW admissions out to the accepted ABSN students?
Or getting ABSN decisions out to people on the waitlist?
Sorry any confusion, to clarify my previous comment: I contacted admissions to see when they would be releasing UW admissions decisions for postbacc applicants for the accepted students for the absn program. They were hoping to get decisions out by the end of this week (which didn’t happen). Maybe next week?
hopefully once those admissions decisions come out there will be more movement on the WL, best of luck to everyone!
Has anyone heard from UW in any capacity? I have an important question about pre-reqs and I have not been able to get through by email or phone for several days. The phone doesn’t even ring, just goes to voicemail.
There is talk on the BSN thread that their waitlist has moved two spots. Hopefully that means our notifications are coming as well. I hope everyone is doing okay. The waiting makes me crazy at times but this, too, shall pass. ?
Hey just got postbacc admissions decision today, I am going to accept their offer.
However, I hope that with those decisions being out that it brings some movement and clarity for the waitlist. Sending you the best!
If there is anyone that doesn’t get in this round or is applying this coming year, please feel free to reach out and happy to give you my thoughts/support for the admissions process.
