University of Washington DNP application '16

Hi all,

I am a new grad nurse very interested in the DNP/FNP program at the University of Washington. As many of you know, UW is highly competitive and is ranked #4 in the nation for nursing graduate school (I believe!). I have sifted through numerous past threads about the UW DNP/FNP program and noticed many members have been accepted to their program. As a new grad very eager to continue my education and very interested in the UW DNP/FNP program, do those individuals who have applied to the UW DNP/FNP program have any advice for those applying for the fall of 2016 (more specifically on the essay/personal statement)? Your comments would be very much appreciated! Thank you :)

Received an email two days ago that the waitlist is moving for acute care!! I was also informed (in a separate email I had inquired) that they made it to #4 on the waitlist last year. I was #3 on the waitlist this year and made it! Not sure if anyone is checking this forum anymore, but this post is for those on the acute care waitlist!
