University of Washington DNP application '16

Hi all,

I am a new grad nurse very interested in the DNP/FNP program at the University of Washington. As many of you know, UW is highly competitive and is ranked #4 in the nation for nursing graduate school (I believe!). I have sifted through numerous past threads about the UW DNP/FNP program and noticed many members have been accepted to their program. As a new grad very eager to continue my education and very interested in the UW DNP/FNP program, do those individuals who have applied to the UW DNP/FNP program have any advice for those applying for the fall of 2016 (more specifically on the essay/personal statement)? Your comments would be very much appreciated! Thank you :)

In 2014, first announcements were received this week in March.

In 2015, first announcements were received on what would be next Monday with postmarks on the letters being what would be this Friday.

It looks as if last year physical letters were received before emails went out and that the application website wasn't updated until all wait listed individuals received their notifications.

We're getting close, people! :)

Well maybe that's a good sign...perhaps they did rejection letters first then acceptance? Either way, good luck!

Rejection recieved, too bad but I still have an interview with UCSF and Yale, I already got accepted to GW. Good luck to everyone else.

Hard copy letter, no change in application status yet (I did stop looking though)

Just got the acceptance letter for FNP-DNP program!! I live in WA. It seems like they mailed out on March 21st. Good luck everyone!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that I received my acceptance letter today from the University of Washington DNP FNP track at around 1000. The envelope was fairly bulky with 8 sheets of paper

I just got my waitlist letter today for FNP-DNP. I am #7 on the list. The letter was also fairly bulky with about 8 pages in it. Looks like I am headed to Seattle U!
