Hey -
I am a recent grad from Duke University ABSN and am applying to the University of Washington DNP - FNP program. I was just curious if there is anyone else out there that also applied to the Fall 2014 start DNP program at UW.
It would be nice to discuss the process together. :-)
Congrats SoberGirl, what track are you? Does anyone know what the UW suggests as far as working while in school? Part-time/Per diem work? From the 2.0 curriculum it doesn't look like we start our specific tracks until the second year, and that our clinical practicums are the end of our second year... is that the only time we will have to arrange for preceptor and clinical sites? Is it possible to work full time our first year? Any information would be wonderful! I'm currently job hunting in the Seattle area... any natives that have advice, please let me know!
Hey Shannon123, I'm not sure how many they accept into the DNP. But stats for FNP cohorts trend around 15 students. I'm also not sure about financial aid packages, but the admission offer letter that we got in March includes scholarship and fellowship offers. You could try calling the financial aid office at UW to see about aid.
