Good news for the people in Oklahoma. The University of Tulsa is up for initial accreditation from the Council on Accreditation for the Fall of 2016. Hopefully all goes well and we will finally have a CRNA program in the state of Oklahoma.

There is currently no official information but it should be made available in the near future.

• The University of Tulsa Nurse Anesthesia Program, Tulsa, OK
Public Disclosure Statement
The initial accreditation decision for the University of Tulsa Nurse Anesthesia Program was deferred. Given this action, the program will be scheduled for its next consideration of initial accreditation in June 2020. The COA may change this to an earlier time as a result of new or additional information or changes in the activities of the program. The program must submit a progress report documenting actions taken to come into full compliance with the Standards for Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs – Practice Doctorate related to adequacy of CRNA faculty resources, including the assistant program administrator.
Yes they were deferred in October but I'm guessing they have submitted the necessary documentation to get accredited or they are waiting for June and will accept applications before then. John Hopkins has taken applications and accepted people to their class before they were ever accredited.

I’m starting to think that it’s just the same old thing we’ve been hearing for years. “We finally have a director so now we’ll have a program in the coming fall.” And then nothing happens.
I’m gonna apply to TCU. If TU eventually gets their program together, that’s cool I guess. But I’m not holding my breath.
