Hi,

I'm new here and was reading up on USN, just out of curiosity, has anyone ever been denied of acceptance to USN? Do they usually accept all students? Any info is greatly appreciated.

70% of the grade is a final exam given the second Saturday, 30% is classroom participation and assignments.

I've now attended the first session, it seems the grade is determined by a 50-question multiple choice test given the second Saturday. If you bring a wifi-capable computer to the second class, you can take it online and get your grade immediately. I won't have any problem receiving an "A." Of course, that is with this particular instructor, other instructors probably do things differently.

wow that sounds pretty painless.

Are you taking it as a UNLV non-degree student? I'll have to check how difficult (or not) it is to get registered and take the class there vs. taking PSC 101 at CSN.

How did everyone's interviews go??!!

...Are you taking it as a UNLV non-degree student?.. .
Yes, I took the UNLV course as a "Graduate Special" and it seems very painless! Its a good thing, as I have a biology mid-term this week.

I got into USN for january 2011! Did anyone else get in???

Hi Inspiration,

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is so awesome that you were accepted!

I am interviewing at USN next week and I'm so nervous I can barely sleep at night. Would you be willing to share any details about the interview process you can remember? I went to the bookstore and picked up a book about interview questions and I'm totally overwhelmed with all of these questions!

Can you please shed some light on this for me? Pretty please! lol

Once again, CONGRATS!

congratulations inspiration! yesterday, on fb, usn posted they still had spots at both campuses for the january 2011 start. if i knew six months ago what i know today, i could have had the pre-reqs completed in time. (edited to add the fb posting was generic, not specific to the absn)

lvgirl1984, no prob!! inbox.

& thanks so much pacific Rim!! Where were you applying for??? What prereqs do you not have?? You can have up to 6 hrs of uncompleted non-science courses completed and still be accepted. you would have to complete them during the program.

Unfortunately, I need anatomy, physiology and microbiology. :( I'm hoping for a fall 2011 entry into USN, though I recently applied to University, Philadelphia, also. I'm a little concerned about the difficulty of me adapting to online learning.

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, but was wondering how long it took for you all to hear back whether you got accepted or not after the interview. Do they email you either way? I'm accepted into a school out here in Cali but would like to move to Vegas if I get in... I have to tell them whether or not I accept or decline admission in a few days so I'm getting kind of nervous.

Hey guys! I had an interview like almost two weeks ago. Haven't heard back from them and I'm getting a little frustrated. Anyone hear back yet? This waiting is driving me insane I really just want to know if I got in or not so I can start making planes either way, ya know?!?
