University of South Alabama PMHNP Fall2020

Just wondering if anyone here applied for USA's PMHNP program for fall 2020? It's my top program at this point. I know we won't hear for quite a while yet since the application deadline is Feb 28, but just looking to commiserate on the wait with others!

Hello everyone

I start at USA pretty soon and wanted to know if anyone has the name of the textbooks for patho-pathological basis of advanced nursing in the which I will take in the fall and pharmacology of advanced practice nurses which I will take in the Spring. I would like to begin reading, if possible. If anyone knows the name of the textbooks for the PMHNP courses that would be a great help as well. Thank you so much

Hello classmates

I'm starting this fall in the post masters PMHNP certification program. Does anyone know anyone who's gone through the program. Im a little nervous about clinical placements right now. Clinical won't start until Spring but I spoke to a local facility to just to get some feelers and many agencies have suspended students from coming and will revisit "later in the year" ....... I'm in California so our circumstances arent great right now but-- do you all have clincals already in mind or do you have to find something?

Looking forward to something new ?

I will be starting the post masters certification in PMHNP this fall. I start patho this fall 2020 and pharm in the Spring 2021. My masters is in nursing education so I had to take patho/pharm before I can start clinical. I start clinical Fall 2021. I live in Louisiana and so far I have clinical placement with a PMHNP and psychiatrist in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

yeah- I had the 3 courses - patho/pharm/ assessment so I start the psych NP classes next month and then need to make sure I’m ready for the clinical this Spring.
I thinking I will just start with folks I know. So many offices are being creative- I will be too :). The clinical affiliate list has some facilities I know- I will make it work

Any advice as far as the pharm/patho/ assessment classes go?  Do you get to choose when you take your classes or is their a certain order?
