Just wondering if anyone here applied for USA's PMHNP program for fall 2020? It's my top program at this point. I know we won't hear for quite a while yet since the application deadline is Feb 28, but just looking to commiserate on the wait with others!

Hello,

I have applied for the fall 2020 PMHNP program. I have started the application in the past, but this is my first time completing it. I have noticed the school pushed the deadline back. I’m hoping that’s good news of not many applying.

Has anyone noticed the admission criteria changing from previous years?

So you applied for the post MSN program? Or the post BSN program? I applied for the post BSN program. I think they said we'd hear within 8 weeks from yesterday.

I heard as well! I was accepted to the BSN-MSN program! I may not be able to go though. I’m taking a leave of absence from work due to COVID because my husband is severely immune compromised and I won’t have the required experience of 2 years. I’m going to email them but I’m guessing it is not a requirement that can be waived.

CONGRATS!! Please keep us posted on the 2 year requirement. I haven’t received an email yet. I applied for BSN-MSN Fall 2020 PMHNP.

I heard back from them and because I have plenty of MH experience and a year of clinical nursing experience in an inpatient unit, they consider that to be enough for my acceptance into the program! So, I think I'm going to do it! The goal would be to get a behavioral health job again after this pandemic threat is over so that I can find a preceptor!
