University of South Alabama NP Fall 2011

The Fall 2011 deadline has past, the count down begins. Has anyone else applied? I was planning on applying for the Fall 2011 DNP as sort of a back up. Having writers block with the essays.

I emailed USA about the on-campus orientation, and was told it's individualized per student. She also said for most students, it is usually completed in August before clinical rotations start.

It has only been a couple of weeks but so far it is just fine. I have done on-line courses before and this course is actually a little better than previous experience. I have been very impressed with the timelyness of the instructors responses to questions and conversations. Some of the assignments have been a little confusing but instructor has been very patient and helpful in answering questions. Since it is a summer class and condensed the work load is a little intense but not overwhelming.

Hi I am starting the FNP program at University of South Alabama in the fall of 2011. Does anyone have a heads up of the orientation dates that we are required to attend? Is there a central area(forum) that the FNP students can communicate within USA or is this the only one we are using? Any information is great, thanks for the help.:)

I am in policy & economics with Dr King now. I will also be registering for theory and A&P in the fall. Maybe we will be classmates next semester? There were several options for the same class when I went to register. since I didn't know any of the instructors or anyone in the class I just blindly picked one.

Totally frustrated with USA. I applied back in April for Fall 2011. Never received any letter. Emailed several times to finally hear back this week that I must have been missing something in my application as I was not accepted. They had no trouble cashing my checks -but I guess it was too much effort for them to let me know I was apparently missing something. Unbelieveable. Luckily, I was accepted to my 1st choice University of Cincinnati. I now know why people have posted "run away from USA -terrible school, etc.."

I have a question for the people that have applied to USA MSN or DNP program, did you guys write a personal statement when you applied? Do you think it is beneficial to do so?

I applied for the BSN-DNPprogram for Fall 2011 and got a email last night saying I was being offered a seat!!!! I am so excited....anyone else for Fall 2011 BSN-DNP program @ USA????

I got accepted for BSN to DNP Adult Primary Care with Palliative Care Subspecialty for Fall 2011. I'm so excited. I was nervous because I read on here lots of people were getting turned away. I got in first try so I know it was lucky. My friend tried for MSN NP but was turned away due to too many applicants. I'm glad I decided to go for the DNP. What is your concentration?
