Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

The Fall 2011 deadline has past, the count down begins. Has anyone else applied? I was planning on applying for the Fall 2011 DNP as sort of a back up. Having writers block with the essays.

I applied for the BSN-DNPprogram for Fall 2011 and got a email last night saying I was being offered a seat!!!! I am so excited....anyone else for Fall 2011 BSN-DNP program @ USA????

Congrats hope, I also received an e-mail basically notifying an available seat. I am going into mental health. What about you? Does anyone have any feedback on this track? I am anxious and hoping that I am making a good choice!!! :yeah:

I requested to be considered for 2 tracks...but I will not know which concentration I am accepted until we get our actual letters in the mail. I am currently finishing up my BSN @ USA and have been pleased with the school.

I am so looking forward to the coming year!

Hi I am starting the FNP program at University of South Alabama in the fall of 2011. Does anyone have a heads up of the orientation dates that we are required to attend? Is there a central area(forum) that the FNP students can communicate within USA or is this the only one we are using? Any information is great, thanks for the help.:)

Hi krisabes,

Did you receive an acceptance letter via mail already? I am still waiting to find out if I got accepted.... called the school and they said notification won't be sent out until June 1st!! ugh!!

I received my acceptence letter in March of this year...that's weird I would have thought you would have gotten it alot sooner? What gives? I hope you get the letter soon and good luck!

Congrats! Yeah I am a msn graduate from in the Pmhnp program of 2005. I am not sure about USA course but the program was hard, lots of reading it is so specialized, the program itself. I am in the post graduate tract for the Family NP. Let me know if you need anything! Congrats again!!!

I am in the BSN to DNP program at USA, I started last semester Spring 2011, and I am loving it so far. I am in the Acute Care PNP program with Nursing Education subspecialty added. I loved meeting other people in various stages of the DNP program at orientation, and it was great to meet some of the professors as well. You can tell that they are very passionate about what they are doing... and I, for one, appreciate that. I have gotten good feedback in my courses, made good grades, and feel like I am learning a lot... it is a very well organized program. You definitely have to dedicate yourself to it, though.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Sincerely,

Jay H., RN, BSN, CCRN, CPEN

Hey Jay!

Good to see some positive comments on USA. I am just a couple weeks into my first semester and I am enjoying it too. I am in the Masters ENP program.

Good luck!

Alex

Don't take my word for it, but from what I understand the initial campus visit is done just prior to beginning clinicals.

Thanks 808medicRN. I am finding more people on the forum that are about to start class summer 2011. I will try to send you a personal email with my info. It would be nice if we can embark on this journey together. Take care.

How has the program been so far
