university south Alabama fall 2017 NP applicants

Published

Hi I applied the USA for fall admission of 2017 for the MSN PMHNP track. I have a 3.2 GPA which I'm hoping NuringCas keeps the same. Otherwise I wrote an admissions essay as it was listed in the app instructions however I do not seem to have seen this to be a req mentioned in previous semesters on this site. Anyone out there??

I have applied for the WHNP track. GPA calculated by NursingCAS as 3.76. I'm not sure if the essay was required in previous semesters, but yes, it was a requirement for us.

I hope it's not too long after the deadline that they notify us. I see the summer 2017 people are starting to receive their acceptance/rejection letters now.

Yea I've pretty much noticed they're late w acceptance letters every time. But I believe the deadline is earlier as well this year

Hello! I applied for the Adult Geron Acute Care NP program. My GPA isn't very strong for overall, but my last 60 hours is a 3.7. I do have the CCRN certification... hoping that helps out my weaknesses. Good luck to everyone.

I'm applying for the dual FNP/ACNP BSN to DNP program for Fall 2017. I'm so worried my transcripts won't make it in by the deadline (Feb. 15th). I've been having a terrible time getting my transcripts from my last school, ugh! GPA for the BSN was 4.0 and over-all cumulative is 3.8. I have ICU experience, but I've only been a nurse for 2 years, so we'll see if I get in. I know I'm taking a long shot by applying so early in my nursing career, but I'm in my late 40s and my end goal was to be a nurse practitioner. Hopefully, I'll get in. Fingers crossed :)

I honestly don't think it's even close to being a "long shot" 2 years is where they want you at the least but still. Plus your GPA is amazing so I think you got this!! I'm still waiting on nursing cas to verify everything but I will be calling them routinely after the 1st. I also applied to EKU and FAU in Florida where I live. Did anyone else apply at other schools?

Hey Everyone, I applied for the BSN to DNP ACAGNP track for Fall 2017. I applied back in November and am so anxiously waiting to hear back from the school. I am also new to the nursing world, and will have the 2 years of experience that they are looking for by the time we start the program. I thought it was a long shot, but I figured I want to continue my education without much of a break. I'm excited to hear from those interested in the same program, and hopefully we all get positive news. I also applied to University of Arkansas, and am in the process of applying to the University of Alabama in Birmingham; just had a few questions and am waiting to hear back from one of the program administrators.

Hey! I have also applied to USA for a fall start to the PMHNP program. I already got accepted to EKU to start in the summer, but USA is my first choice. Hopefully we will be classmates! :)

Are you able to hold the offer for EKU? I only wonder because I too applied to EKU and USA but as you know USA doesnt give early acceptance as does EKU

I received my acceptance email today for the Adult Geron Acute Care NP program for Fall. Check your emails :)

I did too! But I got accepted at UARK and possibly at UAB so I'm going with UARK they are more military friendly í ½í¸” Being that I'm in Japan
