Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to USA for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP-Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey. Also, I am currently based in FL, anyone else from out of state care to share their experiences with this program being online and all? How was it finding a clinical site and preceptor?

Nope, I was in the first group. Just replying because of the acceptance to a different group than what I applied for. I didn't receive anything today.

They just emailed me back saying I got an acceptance letter in error. This is horrible! USA was my first choice ONLY if I was able to be in the AGACNP program. I will say, it is a bit a relieved it was in error, as I already dropped $500 on accepting my seat at Saint Mary's College; however, I am upset cause USA is half the price so it would have been nice to save money.

Hey everyone! I just got my acceptance today for the BSN to DNP FNP program. Just wondering when are all the paperwork stuff due? It doesn't say on the email they sent me. TIA!

It's crazy how nonchalantly the advisor said, "Please disregard the acceptance to the Adult Geron Acute." 42 minutes later. I was filling out my packet and so excited that the directors decided to reconsider after our phone call last month. This program is half the price, and I'd graduate faster than the program I have secured, so I was over the moon. Only for the college to not be apologetic at all. Like, that is a REALLY big error and I was legit jumping up and down and told my parents how they ended up accepting me (FNP was not an option). Good thing I was accepted into Saint Mary's College at Notre Dame but I am so upset at how this was handled....

I do agree that it was a horrible mistake. It's definitely something that deserved more than just a "please disregard." I am tremendously grateful that you were accepted to another program that will allow you to continue with your goals. I know I have been working on collecting a list of scholarships to apply for while I'm in the program to help offset my financial burden during school so I hope that you are also able to find the same opportunities. Good luck with everything ?

Yea...I unfortunately haven't been so lucky to get scholarships. I cant get any through work either yet until I've been a year in my program. Im gonna have to bite on this one haha. Yea. I thought it was a tad inconsiderate considering USA was my first choice and that was the reply I got 42 minutes later...oh whale....everything happens for a reason, I suppose
