University of San Francisco MSN-CNL for non-nurses

Published

Hi,

I will be applying to the MSN Clinical Nurse Leader for Non-nurses for Spring 2015. I did not see any other threads.....I am looking to hear from those who are familiar with this program and could offer some advise. Mainly, I love the sound of the program (bust it out in 2 years) and the city - and I think I have a good shot of getting accepted (BS in Nutrition w/ 3.85 GPA, worked for 3 years as RD and should have great references and all that jazz), went to the info session and I did ask "do the graduates feel that it was worth the money? Do they have trouble paying it off? Are they generally happy with the decision to spend $85,000 plus living expenses of SF?" The admission reps obviously had great things to say, and the pass rate on NCLEX is outstanding, but I want to hear from you guys!!! This is a huge decision as I am married, own a house and have animals (2 dogs which will have to come with me plus cats that will go somewhere....), I live in Red Bluff about 3 1/2 hrs north of SF. Any info would be so helpful! Thank you!

Congrats to everyone so far! Still waiting..:nailbiting:

Hi guys! I got my call today at 3:37pm! I'm in. :cat:

Now I just have to figure out how I'm supposed to pay for it? Yikes!

really, the only way pay is student loans, how most do it. always good to figure that out before don't wait until admitted! FAFSA and credit checks should be done long before and since for grad school limits on student loans are the same for all, you know what you will get and you can be pre-screened for private loans if need be...

I just received the call that I got in! So excited! I have to fill out the FAFSA hopefully it doesn't take too long to approve.

I am still waiting too. It's a little bit of torture. Have people seen their online accounts get updated with their status? Congrats to all those who have made it in so far!!

Congrats to everyone who has got in! I still haven't gotten anything. Online it still says submitted. I wonder if they're just calling everybody or are they sending it in the mail to some. I'm so anxious now.

I just got a letter in the mail. I was wait listed. My status online still says "submitted". Does anyone know how the wait list works? How many people applied to other schools?.. trying to figure out my odds here!

@tnpsf

I was waitlisted last year, and I heard that no one was accepted off of that waitlist. :( I think it varies with each cohort. If a spot opens up, they will go through all the waitlisted applicants again and choose from that pool.

Doesn't that mean you didn't get in? Where did you end up?

Hey everyone! Congrats to everyone who got their acceptances! I also received my letter today saying that I am waitlisted. :( I'm not exactly sure how this will pan out, but still hoping for the best.

For those who got accepted, did you get your official letter and packet in the mail yet? I'm anxiously still waiting for it...

So I also received a letter and I've been placed on the waitlist :(
