Hi y'all!
I applied for the USF nursing program as a transfer student for fall of 2016. I was looking at the form someone created last year of fall 2015 and it seemed to be very helpful to those who are applying and waiting for an answer, likewise as myself.
My GPA is not too high but I have tons of volunteering and work experience. I am really nervous to hear back from them.Has anyone heard back from USF already? and if so what are your stats?
Good luck to everyone! :)
Thank you!!!! I honestly didn't have the strongest gpa. I had a 3.2 I think. I failed my first a&p section, but recovered from it. I have also been getting Good grades on my previous quarters(the rep told me that they look at you how u are doing in you recent quarter or semester ) I also had an amazing letter of recommendation from my Cna professor(only had one letter) .I work at Lpch and have been a CNA for a year and a half now. Let me know if you guys have any questions.
I'm literally in the same situation but I have a 3.1. I didn't do well on non pre recs and have 5 Cs in a few history classes. If I don't get in I'm planning on doing CNA till I get in somewhere. Where did you get did you do your CNA school? I was thinking about doing it at Red Cross but it's around $1,700

definitely become a CNA! There are just so much benefits in becoming one. I also have an acute CNA certification. This is one of the reasons why i was able to work in a hospital(also, I got the job through an agency). The work load is better, pay is better, but more importantly you'll get all the exposure/experience you need and you will also get your foot in the door. $1700!!?!!??!?!? dang thats expensive! i live in mountain view CA. I did got my CNA through an adult school (MVLAAE). I paid $660. Also, this school is "WASC" accredited, meaning I was able to use my CNA grades as college credits.

Yeah I know so expensive I looked up WASC and it looks like its a 3 months program. Red Cross program is only a month and a half long which is why I wanted to do it. I want to get as much experience as I can to increase my chances of getting in. Hopefully I won't have to worry about that though if I get in.. haha.
Ive been volunteering for over a year at Lucile stanford hospital and I did an abroad healthcare trip this winter so I hope that will do for USF.
Hey guys! I also received an acceptance email yesterday! Congrats on everyone else who has! I was wondering if anyone has had access to submit their enrollment deposit? When I go on myUSF and click on make a payment, it directs me to a page that says "there are no deposit links available at this time." Has anyone encountered this yet?
I called USF and also asked them about the emails. The admissions person told me that those emails were not supposed to have been sent out and to disregard them. I asked him if everyone who was accepted got the email, and he said no. He said they are not sure what happened, but to wait for a letter by mail. They will be sent out after May 1st. Good luck everyone!!!!
