University of San Francisco BSN Spring 2014

Hello!

I know it's still early on in the game but I was wondering if anyone applied for USFs BSN program for spring 14? I just applied. IF so, do you mind sharing your GPA, Volunteer/Work experience? :)

@jc90 got a D in physio the first time I took it and retook it and got a B. I have some bad grades for non-prerequisite classes too. But I don't think they really use that against you. How are your grades? And yes I agree. I think I'll probably reapply for usf spring 2014 again but I am pretty desperate at this point. I was going to do an lvn program then bridge it to a bsn but that would probably take three years too so I might as well just try and get into usf if it'll take around the same time. Then I was thinking to just finish my degree at sjsu and then do an ABSN program somewhere which would take about three-ish years as well. It's all so complicated and so very stressful

@kayevangelisa my gpa is around 3.4-3.5 but I did have a couple of failing grades from the past. I did a academic forgiveness thing that's why the gpa is on a little higher side. Fortunately it wasn't any of the prereq classes but still. I went to the info meeting and they did say that failing grades will definitely be a set back >.

@kayevangelista also, when you said you had some bad grades for non-prereq classes, do you mean failing grades or Cs?

I had a C in history, which was one of the pre reqs for smu and a D in psych which I retook and got grade forgiveness. Looks like we're on the same boat with having tons of options (which, unfortunately, isn't always a good thing), good luck to us!!

kayevangelista: Wow, you are definitely going to get in again if you got in before! I am currently a 3rd year student in college. If you dont mind me asking, what were your stats? (Pre-req GPA, cumulative GPA, volunteer experience, etc.)?

I still have not turned in my application yet. Still stuck on that essay..

Also...I found the link before on the USF pre-reqs, but can't seem to find it anymore? Did they change the pre-reqs?

Just turned in my application, good luck to us. When exactly are we supposed to find out? And what does the Spring semester start exactly?

@kayevansgelista we should be getting notified in December. From the last forums it Seems like the people who got admitted received it within the first 2 weeks. Does anybody know if they have a waiting list for that semster or alternative list?

@jc90 wow that's quick. I was pretty late sending in my application and essay in, i did it at midnight.

i think ill hear back from smu around november 11, im so nervous i have no idea what's going to happen

Wow everytime I go on this page, the page view gets higher and higher. It's already at 1066. Makes me nervous! I hope not too many people applied :unsure:
