University of Rochester ABPNN 2019

Published

Hi everyone,

My name is Justine. I applied for U of R ABPNN for January of '19. I am still waiting for a response for an admissions decision but haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else applied and heard back from the program?

Very true. I'm local though, so I should have gotten it by now- if not today. Once the post office gets mail it is usually delivered the next day here

Yeah, I'm local too and usually get things within 1-2 days. Maybe we'll get it today!

Same about being local, fingers crossed for getting it today. I'm going on a vacation next week so I was hoping to get this week!

I go home for lunch and my packet was in the mail!

i was really hoping to get a scholarship, but it said I didn't get one. Because of that I won't be attending. So that's one spot for someone on the wait-list.

I also got mine in Friday!

According to my paperwork the decision/deposit needs to be in by 10/25. I got mine in the mail today.

I'm hoping that the more in-depth financial packet comes soon though with a break down as I don't need to take

out the full amount they suggest.

They have the January start date schedule posted online now! I don't know what all of it means, but it's exciting to see what our schedules will be like! https://son.rochester.edu/assets/pdf/schedules/2019-spring-january.pdf

So I called the guy who deals with all of our financial aid things at the School because I was also expecting the financial aid package to be broken down in the packet. He said he will be sending the break down of financial aid to everyone the beginning of November via email so we shouldn't expect anything in the mail from him (all of financial aid communications will be through email).

not sure if you guys knew this, but the respirator testing paperwork for accepted students doesn't have to be completed. We just have to fill out the personal information part and send that in, and we'll be doing that testing in groups once school starts. I called UHS because I wasn't sure where i could get that done.

Has anyone tried the waive the health insurance? I already have insurance so I don't need the student one but when I tried to waive it the site stated that it's out of the enrollment dates. I was just wondering if anyone has been able to do it a different way.

yes. I think we have to wait until november 13th to do that, something to do with open enrollment. I ran into that problem too!

Is anyone else still waiting to hear back for a decision?

I believe that everyone that was been accepted has been told as they needed an answer by the end of October.
