University of Rochester ABPNN Spring 2020

Hi all,

I did not see another forum for the U of Rochester ABPNN Spring 2020 (January entry) yet, so I figured it would be a good time to make one since we will all be submitting our apps soon! Has anyone submitted yet?

Does anyone know if they schedule interviews with all applicants? How do they pick the people they want to interview?

Per the website, "Once we have your completed application, Nancy Kita, our admissions counselor, will contact you to arrange an interview. Not all applicants are offered an interview, and those who are not interviewed will be sent a letter advising them that they will not be accepted to the program."

Hope this helps! Also, I submitted my application but my transcripts haven't been received yet.

Oh okay, so I am assuming they are looking at your grades and based on that you get a call for interview?

For my own sake, I would hope not haha (jk, but not really). My grades/ GPA aren't bad at all but I spoke with someone at the school and they advised they take a pretty holistic approach when reviewing applications.

Yes, grades are important but so is your personal statement, recommendations, and any relevant experiences you might have (i.e. volunteering at a hospital).

Hey y'all! I just submitted my application! So do we get calls about interviews after the submission deadline or one our application is complete?

Hi Archie, I submitted my application too! I tried calling the admissions office and they told me they won’t start reviewing apps until after the deadline. Hope this helps!

Hi Guys, did anyone who submitted their application receive a call to schedule an interview?

I saw in previous threads, some people mentioned they got calls even before the deadline.

I submitted my application on 5/26 and my last transcript was received on 6/17. Got a call on 6/26 ?
