University of Rochester ABPNN September 2018

Starting a thread for those applying to the University of Rochester ABPNN September 2018 start date. Anyone finished their applications yet?

I feel like this waiting is never ending!

Hello everyone I applied to UR abpnn for the fall 2018 and I am afraid of rejection because UR is a very competitive school. This is my stats my GPA is a 3.41 gpa and my prereq GPA is a 3.5 and I have no experience working and volunteering at the hospital. Is possible everyone can tell me their stats and work experience please, because I want to feel hopeful that I have a chance of getting accepted. I also want to know people's background to see if my grades is in the same range as everyone else.

@gooper When I had my interview I asked about the nursing program retention rate and the person I spoke to told me that the retention rate is high and majority of the people finished the program on time because UR is really good in providing resources.

Yeah, I've heard 3rd semester is the hardest. I know of at least 1 student who was supposed to finish in May, but failed 3rd semester and had to retake it, and I know that about halfway through 3rd semester, there were around 16 people failing med-surge, but they must have gotten their grades up.

Even applicants that send in documents and meet the requirements still get rejected and this makes me worried.

Did anyone get accept yet and during the interview did the interviewer take notes?

I just called the admissions office and they said they won't be making any decisions until the end of next week!

Should we start making a facebook group for our cohort or is too early?

My brother applied to this program, and had his phone interview. Supposedly, they told him he is a strong applicant, but they are worried about some of his grades. I don't know what that means.

What is wrong with his grades? If he has good grades then that should be a good thing.

He has a few Cs in his Bachelors. The way he explained to me the lady on the phone told him he is competitive enough, it is just she is worried in accelerated program he may not do well. I thought maybe someone had a smiliar experience.

Has anyone heard anything? I applied 2 months ago and had my interview this past week. Does anyone know what the acceptance rate is?
