Starting a thread for those applying to the University of Rochester ABPNN September 2018 start date. Anyone finished their applications yet?
I was looking through a bunch of the older forums, and it looks like a lot of the waitlist people started to hear around 4-5 weeks before classes started for that semester. I'm trying to be optimistic that maybe we'll get calls next week, as that will be around 5 weeks before classes start.
I really want to go to this school . This school is my number choice . However, I called and asked how many people were waitlisted about 10days ago and I was told about 50 people . I did a little research on the average how many students come off the waitlist in the university of Rochester. The only thing I found was on collegetransitions.com. It says In 2016 , for regular admission 3,203applicants were offered waitlist. 1,750 accepted waitlist and only 6 were accepted.
This tells me the chances are extremely slim and to hope for a miracle .
I took most of my prereqs through the UR online classes recommended on the SON website. I did 2 a semester, and I thought they were great because you can do them at your own pace. I did one class in its entirety, and then I would start the next class. I think nutrition took me the least amount of time, pretty sure I had that done in about 3 weeks. I took longer on some of the other classes, but I still finished them all well before the semesters end. It really depends on how much time you have to dedicate to the class.

I've been assuming that they haven't started calling people on the waitlist. I suppose it's possible though that they've offered all the open spots. I just thought they hadn't called anyone because they have been taking longer than anticipated to make decisions. I haven't talked to admissions though, I don't want to bug them again!
