Hi everyone,

I created this feed for nurses applying to or already accepted to the CRNA program at Pitt that begins January 2020. Has anyone submitted their application yet? Has anyone received a call for interviews? I know it is early in the process but waiting is so hard. If you feel comfortable posting stats, please feel free. Hope to hear from some nurses soon.

I just know that deadline May 1st. Will schedule interviews after they review all the submissions. For our sake, hopefully not that many applied. Then whoever hits the certain score for automatic acceptance will be notified. After that everyone that was waitlisted will be in a pile and I believe they will fill the remaining slots with the top scores however many that is. I could be wrong but that is what is seems like it will be.

Let me know if you get in! I’ve been emailing Brian in admissions to buff my application for next cycle. It’s be nice to know someone in the program.

For those that are taking a class this Fall, have you been able to register for it yet? I plan on taking the statistics course on campus, anyone else?

The last interviews are supposed to by on May 21st. Hoping the ones that was told to wait until after the last interview date gets notified shortly after. If I am accepted, I will most likely be taking the statistics course.

I wonder when final decisions will be made since the last interviews are complete. No one else posted from the second admission deadline.

Spoke with someone at school and final decisions will be made around June 1st

JJK,

I'm not sure if it's different for in person classes but I'm in two online classes this summer and I needed to discuss with my advisor first and then someone in administration/scheduling with the program registered me for the appropriate classes.

For the people accepted, was it a call from Dr. O’Donnell or did anyone get a call from someone else? Dr. Neft called and left me a message this morning. I was sleeping due to being on nights this week. I called back and left a message. I am so nervous now and will not be able to sleep. It would be the best birthday present ever though if I am accepted. Fingers crossed!!!!

A call is a good sign. I would imagine they only call for admission and wait-list notifications. Hope you get some good news!

I am so excited. I start in January. It does not seem real for sure. Did anyone make a Facebook page? If not I will make one
